Melior Discovery, Inc. today announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for the clinical development of its novel first-in-class kinase activator, MLR-1023, for the treatment of Type II diabetes. MLR-1023 was discovered and developed internally using Melior’s indications discovery platform, theraTRACE.^®

In addition to MLR-1023, we have a number of other programs also progressing towards the clinic.”

“Pre-clinical studies suggest that MLR-1023 has the potential to be developed as an effective drug treatment for Type II diabetes both alone and in combination with available therapies,” added Dr Reaume.
