Ook Medicalfacts zondagavond korte tijd uit de lucht
Diverse grote Nederlandse sites, waaronder Tweakers.net, zijn zondagavond het slachtoffer geworden van een grootschalige ddos-aanval. De aanvallers probeerden op verschillende manieren de webservers lam te leggen. Ook Medicalfacts ging zondag onderuitTweakers zag ‘zijn’ ddos-aanval (distributed denial of service) rond 21:30 beginnen. Tweakers heeft de aanval bijgehouden op microblog Twitter. Ook deze websites gingen zondagavond plat als gevolg van wat een ddos-aanval lijkt.
Het is nog niet bekend wie of welke groep achter de aanvallen zit. Wel is bekend dat de aanvaller of aanvallers het ook via ‘udp flooding’ hebben geprobeerd. Uit onderzoek is inmiddels gebleken dat de servers van diverse websites op dezelfde manier zijn belaagd. Tijdens de aanval werden er 20 tot 25 miljoen gespoofde ip-adressen gebruikt.
Het is nog onbekend wie de daders zijn en waarom ze het op deze sites hebben gemunt. .’s Avonds werd ook bij ons op de website al veel traffic waargenomen. Wij hebben de informatie die wij hebben waargenomen gelijk doorgespeeld en deze wordt nader onderzocht.
Klutser.com nu ook al uit de lucht. Ik denk dat het wel eens te maken kan hebben met de problemen die jullie zondag hadden. Er zat op die dat een rare link in die site die een aanval op jullie zou hebben kunnen inzetten. Een paar dagen ervoor stond dit berichtje op hun website:

Duh. Received this e-mail from the hosting provider. It seems Klutser is an Internet Terrorist that fucks around with IRC and destination ports. Don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. I remember to have studied for being a doctor. But that seems not to be the case. So, if this website is down within a couple of days of even hours you know where to find me. I’ll be wearing an orange suit and have my ass kicked on a military base in Cuba. Gitty ho Gitmo.

We have received some IP addresses that were linked to hacking activities.
