Synexus geeft presentatie op World Vaccine Congress

Chief Medical Officer dr. Glynis Neagle van Synexus zal deze week op het World Vaccine Congress in Washington aandacht besteden aan de uitdagingen die gesteld worden aan mondiale proeven met vaccins. Tijdens haar presentatie voor de deelnemers zal dr. Neagle ingaan op de voordelen en risico’s die kleven aan het uitvoeren van proeven met vaccins in ontwikkelde landen en ontwikkelinglanden, waarbij ze kan putten uit de ruime ervaring van Synexus. Ook kijkt ze naar de beste aanpak van vaccinproeven waarbij meerdere organisaties betrokken zijn.

Dr Glynis Neagle, Synexus’ Chief Medical Officer will be discussing the challenges facing global vaccine trials at the World Vaccine Congress in Washington this week.
In her presentation to delegates Dr Neagle will be using the company’s considerable experience to examine the benefits and risks of conducting vaccine trials in the developed and developing worlds and looking at how best to manage vaccine trials that involve working with multiple organisations.
Commenting on her involvement with this year’s World Vaccine Congress Dr Neagle said: “This event represents a great opportunity for industry and scientific leaders to share their thoughts, ideas and experience of the development of new vaccines. Successful clinical trials are critical to the safe and speedy development of all vaccines and depending upon the therapeutic indication, trials may be run in many diverse locations. I will be discussing some of the challenges of conducting clinical trials under these circumstances, and the solutions Synexus has devised to deliver successful late stage vaccine trials. I will also be looking at the challenges of working with multiple organisations in different countries, diverse populations, access to healthcare facilities and the logistics of clinical trial samples.â€
