The LUMC has a well-considered policy with regard to its historical-anatomical collection and is not prepared to enter into a public discussion regarding individual items in the collection.As yet the LUMC has not received any official request for return from the Ghanaian authorities. Should such a request for return be received, then this request would be treated seriously and the LUMC would be open to discuss this with the applicant.Out of respect for the human remains, it is not permitted to film or take photographs in the Anatomic Museum of the Leiden University Medical Center.
